Use the Arrow Keys or WASD to move your ninja left and right. Press Up or W to jump. The first level is a tutorial zone designed to help you get comfortable with the controls before the action ramps up.
Press Space to perform a slash attack. Timing is everything — attack too early and you'll miss, attack too late and you'll take damage. Learn each enemy's pattern and strike at the right moment. Combine movement with attacks for devastating combo chains.
Each level is filled with traps — spike pits, swinging blades, falling platforms, and more. Watch for visual cues that telegraph when a trap will activate. Use crouch (Down key) to slide under low obstacles and dodge projectiles.
Hidden paths, secret rooms, and collectible items are scattered throughout every level. Look for unusual wall textures, gaps in the scenery, and platforms that seem out of reach. Wall jumping is key to reaching many hidden areas.
At the end of each world, a powerful boss awaits. Each boss has a unique attack pattern with three distinct phases. Learn the pattern in phase one, exploit openings in phase two, and survive the frenzy in phase three. Patience wins boss fights.
Running before jumping gives you longer jump distance. Build speed on flat surfaces before attempting gap jumps to clear wider chasms.
When facing multiple enemies, use the slide to dodge through them instead of fighting head-on. Pick off isolated foes one at a time.
In narrow vertical passages, alternate wall jumps to ascend rapidly. Press toward the opposite wall immediately after bouncing for maximum height.
A well-timed slash just as an enemy attacks creates a parry effect, stunning them briefly. Use this window to land multiple hits.
Environmental clues in the background layers often hint at upcoming hazards. A distant volcano glow means lava sections ahead; swaying trees warn of wind gusts.
Don't be afraid to replay levels. Each attempt helps you memorize patterns and discover shortcuts you missed the first time around.
